Congratulations to current MSTP IV, Lauren Meyer, on her second-author publication in the journal Leukemia titled, "JAK/STAT pathway inhibition overcomes IL7-induced glucocorticoid resistance in a subset of human T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemias." Among the other researchers sharing authorship with Lauren is another of our MSTPs, MSTP VII, Geoff Smith.

Elizabeth McCarthy attended the 2017 Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) Annual Meeting in Washington DC in April. She presented a poster with her co-presenter, Jonathan Freise - another MS1, entitled "Increasing Narcan co-prescription rates for patients on chronic opiates at an academic primary care clinic". This project was completed as part of her Clinical Microsystem Clerkship (CMC) at the UCSF Mt. Zion primary care clinic under the guidance of her coach, Dr. Michelle Guy.
