"The First Nationwide Survey of MD/PhDs in the Social Sciences and Humanities" was just published, authored by Seth M. Holmes, Jennifer Karlin, Scott D. Stonington, and Diane L. Gottheil. Scott Stonington and Seth Holmes are both alumnus of UCSF's MSTP, and Jennifer Karlin is a current UCSF resident. Seth is also an Associate Professor of Public Health and Medical Anthropology at UC Berkeley and is the co-director of the MD/PhD Joint UCSF/UCB Graduate Program in Medical Anthropology. Additionally, he is a member of our MSTP Faculty Council.
We hope it will inspire further research and understanding of the career paths and contributions of physician-investigators in these fields.
