Elizabeth McCarthy attended the 2017 Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) Annual Meeting in Washington DC in April. She presented a poster with her co-presenter, Jonathan Freise - another MS1, entitled "Increasing Narcan co-prescription rates for patients on chronic opiates at an academic primary care clinic". This project was completed as part of her Clinical Microsystem Clerkship (CMC) at the UCSF Mt. Zion primary care clinic under the guidance of her coach, Dr. Michelle Guy. She was excited about sharing her work on this project that works to address the opioid epidemic from the perspective of an academic primary care clinic.
Congratulations to Elizabeth for this amazing accomplishment!
